DAY 3

A sweet fruit. A sweet personality.

FOCAL VERSE :
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:22‭-‬23 KJV

DEEP REFLECTION :
The Fruit of the Spirit is the character of Christ that is produced in every believer. Therefore, the Fruit of the Spirit is a proof that we are true Christians and it is progressively harnessed as a result of abiding in Christ. The world sees who we are as Christians when we portray the Christ nature in character and in deeds.
Just as any normal fruit can be seen, tasted and judged; so can our characters be seen and judged by others. Have you ever wondered why some people have sweet personalities? Yes, they exhibit sweet fruits through their character and these traits can be developed in us by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Fruit of the Spirit is made manifest in our character.
The Holy Spirit gives us ALL of these fruit when we lean on Him.
Isn’t that amazing?
You no longer need to work on your character all by yourself because the Holy Spirit freely gives us much more than we could with our strength. He draws our attention and take us through life’s experiences which refines us. You can be a sweet fruit to be enjoyed when you partner with Him — by staying and being submissive to Him.
Staying with the Holy Spirit evidently makes you better than yourself (flesh). Always know that, just like any sweet fruit can be enjoyed, so can our lives be enjoyed when our character is developed by the Holy Spirit.

SOUL PRAYER :
Dear Holy Spirit, thank you for your fruit at work in my life. Please help me to be a sweet fruit that others may benefit from me. I walk in your love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance forever. Amen.

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE :
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to walk in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance as you go through the day.
