Dear Lord, I trust you!
FOCAL VERSE :
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Ps 118:8 NKJV

Focus of the week.
DEEP REFLECTION :
The quality of our lives requires tapping into our very essence and navigating through to heights connected to the deepest parts of our inner being. The struggle with us has been the ability to go pass the surfaces of external power to reach out and unleash the unfamiliar areas locked within us. However, this journey highlights giving in to vulnerability and trusting the unlimited outcomes of what is unknown to us.
This state of the unknown is highly unpleasant to our human nature because it restricts us and reveals our weaknesses, limitations and inadequacies. Though this is an opportunity for us to rise above to break forth to experience more, it also has the tendency of keeping us trapped and stagnated in less.
How then can we break forth?
As humans, we are limited in capacity. We cannot rely and run on our own strength all the time. We need to be fueled by a greater power. We are designed to be empowered before we can constantly function. This is why we desire to attain more power for maximum impact. We can only break forth when we receive power beyond what we originally possess. Power comes in various forms and we are able to utilize the power available when we are exposed to how it functions because that same power has the ability to destroy. Therefore, a trusted and genuine source of power has been our very quest.
Trust is a journey.
@growcode
Trust is an act of surrender.
Trust is a response.
Trust is position of dependence.
Trust is a firm assurance.
Trust is giving up control.
Trust is a release of power and authority.
You cannot create trust with conflicting truth. Simply put, it is difficult to trust with no conviction. Our knowledge about the source of power develops our trust in its ability. There are several ways to encounter power and we all have a personal choice to make. Our focal verse outlines the best choice we can make.
As a firm believer of Christ, I trust in the sovereign God and the almighty God. I personally know and believe that He is the one and only true God. He is not just powerful. He is all powerful. All power belongs to Him. He made all things and everything is in Him. Without Him was nothing made. He is our source of life and in Him is life.
God is unlimited in capacity. There is no shadow of doubt in Him. Our knowledge of God helps us to trust in Him. Yes, you can only trust God when you know him. Our day to day experience and quest to know Him helps our trust process.
Our trust in God affirms our deepest acknowledgement of who He truly is (unlimited) and the acceptance of our limitations becomes a beginning point of His unlimited power. This posture of our hearts enables us to open up ourselves for a daily experience with the unlimited God. It helps us to realize that there’s a limit to our existence without Him. It also grants us the ability to connect and function in God’s frequency. It is our trust in God that helps us to walk by faith.
Trust in God requires us to view “how to do this life” beyond the lens of self. Trust ushers us into a place of joy, peace and rest. It brings an end to anxieties, insecurities, depression, pain and suffering. You are simply doing yourself a greater good when you trust in God.
