THE LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS.

FOCAL VERSE:
[1] Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. [2]
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord
will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:1-2 NKJV
DEEP RELFECTION:
Light serves as a powerful metaphor in various contexts, symbolizing revelation, truth, and guidance. Its absence can disrupt normalcy and hinder progress, as evidenced by the challenges faced in regions with frequent power outages.
Drawing parallels between physical darkness and spiritual obscurity, scriptures like Isaiah 60:2-14 depict a world shrouded in spiritual darkness, devoid of the guiding light necessary for uncovering life’s treasures and potentials.
In John 3:19 and Matthew 4:16, the advent of a great light signifies a transformative shift for those dwelling in darkness.
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19 NKJV
The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16 NKJV
This light, symbolized by Jesus Christ, illuminates the path to redemption and purpose. Unlike created light subject to fluctuations, Jesus embodies an eternal and unwavering source of illumination. His presence brings assurance and stability to those who embrace him. If there is any light you can depend on for life, it surely is the Light of the world from God, which is the light of life; Jesus!
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12 NKJV
Choosing to align with the light of God through Jesus Christ promises a life infused with divine guidance and assurance. This decision marks a departure from spiritual darkness towards a fulfilling existence. If there is the light of life, then surely there is the darkness of life. On which side are you?
In a world often obscured by spiritual darkness, embracing the light of Jesus Christ offers hope, purpose, and eternal significance. Just as light dispels darkness, likewise, the presence of Christ illuminates the path to a life of fulfillment and truth.
