A GRATEFUL HEART
FOCAL VERSE:
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” - Psalms 100:4 NIV
DEEP REFLECTION:
God is a wonderful, supernatural being who gives us life freely. Even in our sin, He listens to our prayers. He protects us and plans a good life for us, one far beyond what we can comprehend.
In all these, we must say ‘Thank you, God,’ with a heart full of gratitude. His love endures forever.”
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Each day, if for nothing else, be thankful for the breath of life you have, and sing songs of praise to God. Be grateful to Him at all times.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE FOR THE WEEK:
Monday: Philippians 4:6 - In times of asking God for something, our thanksgiving is just as important. It helps us understand how significant gratitude is to God.
Tuesday: Colossians 4:2 - In our everyday life, just as we never forget to eat, let us also not forget to make thanksgiving to God a habitual practice.
Wednesday: Psalm 50:14 - God desires our thanksgiving as a way to express our gratitude to Him. Let our tongues always praise God.
Thursday: Nehemiah 12:46 - In this century, there is no need to be a musician to sing praises to God. Anyone can do so, and if we are ever short of words to express to God, let us praise Him through singing.
Friday: Gratitude is more a matter of the heart than outward expressions, and more about the inner desire to honor God for His blessings than the act of thanksgiving itself.
Always cultivate gratitude from the heart. It is an inner expression, not something driven by outward actions.
INTENTIONAL THANKSGIVING:
God! Your creation speaks of Your greatness. Our eagerness to proclaim Your goodness makes others think it is madness.
The world was made by Your Word, and so we hold fast to Your Word and say ‘Hallelujah’ to You.
Hail! The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. None can be compared to Thee, for it is our duty to serve Thee with all our hearts.”
Thank you, our Good Father, for we have come this far because of You.”
