THE LIGHT OF LIFE

FOCAL VERSE:
”Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”“
‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

DEEP REFLECTION:
Imagine walking down an unfamiliar path with no source of light whatsoever and suddenly, a bright light appears to light up the entire pathway —what a great joy that would be right?

Light is life.
Light is hope.
Light is joy.
Light is peace.
Light is love.
Light is an answer to a need.

In the context of our focal verse; Jesus declared Himself as the Light of the World. Alternatively, He described us — thus, you and I, as the light of the world as well in Matthew 5:14. I firmly believe that Jesus is the Light and we are His Light. Therefore, we are called to light up!

We are born of God. We are also One Body and One Spirit with Christ Jesus. The Bible highlights that we’re in Him and He is in us. That is to say that we are alive in Him. In effect, we are hosts of the light of Christ. This affirms that we are designed with the mandate to Light up.

We cannot light up in any other way but through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way and He is the Light of Life.
In Him, we have the light that leads to life. If we follow Him, we will not walk in darkness because He’s the Light and He will light up our path unto a glorious end.

We have the potency to Light up with the Light of Jesus wherever we go because He made us so!

Hey Beautiful Soul, Light up!

SOUL PRAYER:
Dear Lord, light up my path of life! Help me to Light up wherever I go. Amen.
