MERCY ON ME!

Hey Beautiful Soul
Take a PAUSE and PRAISE the LORD.
HALLELUJAH!

The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand [the side not carrying a shield]. [Isa. 25:4.]
Psalm 121:5 AMPC

REFLECTION:
A full story has at least three perspectives from my point of view; your view, my view and the real truth. Likewise, we cannot quickly conclude on the events of our lives with our view points only. As a matter of fact, our eyes may not be able to comprehend all the things we have been protected from; the narrow escape, the unseen prayers and the battles won for us. The sight of the real details might cause us to be dumbfounded for the rest of our lives.
Sometimes, we are quick to complain about the missed opportunities, unanswered prayers, setbacks and challenges because we believe that we deserve better.
Our human nature has the tendency of always noticing mistakes and flaws easily. This can blind us from seeing anything good. This can set us up to haunt for negativity and nothing may seem to be right or appropriate.

There are a lot of behaviors that prevent us from being grateful. They include focusing on flaws, weaknesses and what’s not right from our point of view. This hinders us from seeing the beauty of life. It can always make you feel wronged or betrayed. We forgetfully complain about the same blessings we prayed earnestly to receive. One miracle in one season turns to nuisance another day. But that’s the human nature. We are insatiable by default.
However, if we are able to see through everything with a grateful heart, we will really appreciate life.

God our Father sees us through the eyes of mercy and grace because Jesus intercedes for us daily. Our sins and flaws are covered by the blood He shared on calvary’s tree.
The text says that He is our shade at our right hand. The AMPC says that it is the side that is not covered by the shield. God who is rich in mercy, covers our vulnerabilities, weaknesses, imperfections, sins and shame from the attacks of the enemy. He even backs and corrects us in our strengths for His glory. He’s got us covered and He takes pleasure in doing that. He’s not on the lookout for our wrongdoings to hit us back like the enemy. He is rather on the lookout to shield us from the evil attacks. His mercies endures forever. Hallelujah!

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE :
Did you experience some missed opportunities this year? Do you believe that you deserve better in an area?
What did you learn from the seemingly bad experiences?
Are you grateful for the lessons you learnt?
What are some behaviors or habits that you believe that has been covered by grace?

We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy but I personally don’t believe in everything being an attack from the enemy. Sometimes, these are opportunities to make us better. At other times they are due to our own mistakes because human beings are fallible. God knows we are not all perfect that’s why Jesus died for us. We can always run to Jesus whenever we fall and He’s ready to make us whole. It is not cool to always fall into sin deliberately in the name of grace. Yet, I am of the view that it is much better to plead for mercy as much as you can rather than dwelling in the guilt of your wrongdoing. You might not be proud of yourself for being wrong all the time but staying away from God’s grace doesn’t solve the problem either. We can’t do right all by ourselves.

All through the day, celebrate God for His mercies. He’s our shade at our right hand. That’s His promise to us and He honors it daily because He’s the COVENANT KEEPING GOD. Hallelujah!

INTENTIONAL THANKSGIVING:
Oh merciful God. I’m indeed blessed and highly favored.
You have saved me from sin and shame.
I’m not always proud of my wrong doings but your arms are wide open to catch me when I’m falling.
You keep me, order my steps and help me daily.
You covered me in the midst of all my flaws.
So in my life be glorified.
Take glory Father.
Praise be unto your Holy name.
Hallelujah!
