RESTING IN GOD’S GOODNESS

Intentional Thanksgiving
FOCAL VERSE:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” – Psalms 107:1 NLT
DEEP REFLECTION:
In the busyness of life, it’s easy to forget that God is good. “Resting in God’s goodness” is the choice to pause and remember that God’s love and care are constant, even in challenging times.
Gratitude isn’t only for the joyful moments; it’s a way to see God’s provision in every circumstance, even when things don’t seem perfect.
Take a moment today to reflect on God’s goodness in your life.
How have you experienced His constant love and faithfulness, both in victories and struggles?
When we rest in His goodness, we find peace that transcends understanding. Life may change, but God’s goodness remains unshaken. In the stillness, His love fills our hearts and grounds us in the truth that He is always with us.
This week, let’s intentionally focus on God’s goodness. May gratitude become a place of refuge for our souls, reminding us that, no matter what, God is always good.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE FOR THE WEEK:
Each day, take a few minutes to reflect on one way God’s goodness has shown up in your life. Write it down and carry it with you throughout the day. At the end of the week, share your reflections with someone close to you to encourage them to find rest in God’s goodness too.
INTENTIONAL THANKSGIVING:
Abba, thank You for Your unchanging goodness. Your love endures forever, and we are grateful for Your constant presence and faithfulness. In every season, You remain our refuge and strength. Help us to rest in Your goodness and trust in Your perfect timing. We give You all the glory and praise. Amen.
DIG DEEP READING PLAN:
Monday: Lamentations 3:25 – Reflect on a time when you experienced God’s goodness while waiting for something. Journal about it and recognize how God’s timing has been perfect in your life.
Tuesday: Psalm 34:8 – Recall a time when you found refuge in God during a difficult situation. Write about how His goodness was evident during that moment.
Wednesday: Psalm 145:17 – Reflect on God’s faithfulness in your life. Write about how His goodness has been evident, even when you couldn’t see the bigger picture.
Thursday: Psalm 107: 1 – Write down a list of things you are grateful for. Let gratitude flow as you meditate on God’s enduring love.
Friday: Psalm 100 : 5 – Reflect on ways God’s goodness has been passed down through generations in your family or community. Share a story of His faithfulness, and thank Him for His enduring love.
