TRUSTING GOD’S TIMING

SCRIPTURE READING: GENESIS 19
FOCAL VERSE:
“With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, ‘Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.” – Genesis 19:15 (NIV)
DEEP REFLECTION:
God’s timing is always perfect, even when we don’t fully understand it. In Genesis 19, Lot hesitated when God’s messengers urged him to leave Sodom. Despite the urgency of the moment, he lingered, unsure of what lay ahead. Yet, God in His infinite mercy, still led him to safety.
How many times do we hesitate when God calls us to move?
Fear of the unknown, comfort in our current situation, or doubt can make us reluctant to step into God’s plan. But His guidance is always for our good, and trusting His timing leads to protection and purpose.
Let us reflect on any areas where we may be hesitating instead of fully surrendering to God’s direction today. He knows the right time for everything—our role is to just trust and obey.
PRAYER POINTS:
Ask God for the faith to trust His timing, even when it feels uncertain.
Pray for the courage to move forward when God calls.
Thank God for His mercy and guidance in every season.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Identify an area where you have been hesitating in obedience to God. Write a prayer of surrender, asking Him for the courage to take the next step.
Encourage someone today who may be struggling to trust God’s timing.
