COVENANT KEEPING GOD!

Hey Beautiful Soul,
Take a PAUSE and PRAISE the LORD.
HALLELUJAH!

The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in. From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Ps 121:8 NKJV

REFLECTION:
Whenever the year is ending, we like to take inventory of our lives and make plans for the future ahead of us. We tend to make things right with God, family, friends and even ourselves. Some people like to make resolutions but I personally prefer to set a focus or perspective for the year ahead. Nobody knows how things are going to turn out. In faith, we plan and take steps with the assurance that things will turn out right for us. We make plans but it is the Lord who orders our steps. Every morning we head out for work, church, school or launch into the day; hopeful of the evening tide. At night, we sleep off in faith even though we may not know exactly what the next day might present us. The cycle repeats daily from dawn to dusk. In all these, God is concerned about our going in and coming out. He is interested in our plans and in our ways.

Intentional Thanksgiving requires acknowledging the ways of God. When we decide to leave things into the hands of God, we mostly come back handling things again because of the insecurities, fears, anxieties and uncertainties of life. I believe that the right way to leave things in God’s hands is through constant Prayer and Thanksgiving. This practice demands a deep surrender and vulnerability.
God says that He shall preserve our going in and our coming out forever, meaning He will takes care of everything concerning us. In His time and in accordance to His will and purposes, He makes all things beautiful. This requests our ability to acknowledge and accept this promise. It in turn, eases us to surrender our expectations, plans and decisions to Him in prayer and in Thanksgiving.

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
What were your plans for the year?
Did they happen?
Are you grateful for how far you’ve come?
What is your focus for the next year?
Where is God’s place in your plans and in your life?
Have you asked God about His plans for you in the coming year?

If our ways do not align with the ways of God, it will be very difficult for us to appreciate God. We will only see things from our perspective and it can cause us to be ungrateful because of the frustration at hand. This blocks our view and ability to lay hold of our blessings. The path we choose to take can make or break us. However, when we choose to journey on with God, His promises for us are assured. His presence goes before us and stands behind us. It causes us to view God’s hand all around us. This makes it easier for us to acknowledge and praise God more and more.

All through the day, declare Psalm 121 as much as you can. This entire Psalm teaches us about who the COVENANT KEEPING GOD is. It also gives us insight about our daily blessings and privileges. I believe this exercise will enlighten you and open you up to acknowledge and celebrate the COVENANT KEEPING GOD. Hallelujah.

AFFIRMATION:
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Ps 121:1‭-‬8 NKJV

INTENTIONAL THANKSGIVING:
O my Soul,
Sing Hallelujah unto the Lord.
Lift His name higher.
If it hadn’t been the Lord on our side;
Where would we have been?
O my Soul,
Sing songs of praises
Sing unto the COVENANT KEEPING GOD
Make a joyful noise
Triumph over enemies.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
