PRESENT YOUR CASE TO GOD

FOCAL VERSE:

“and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.””- ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭30‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

DEEP REFLECTION:

The Lord is saying:

“I am your dwelling place and your Advocate. Bring your case before Me. I delight in being invited into your battles and your decisions. My presence is your courtroom and My word is your verdict.”

Dwelling in Me is more than waiting quietly. It is communion. In that communion there is space to present your needs, hurts, and desires. David’s strength came not from his warriors or weapons but from the word he received in My presence.

Many rush into action without consulting Me. But those who pause to dwell, to listen, to present their case walk in victories that human wisdom cannot achieve.

PROPHETIC PROMPT:

What situation have you been trying to resolve without consulting God? Will you dwell with Him long enough to present your case and wait for His counsel?

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:

Sacred ConsultationBefore making a decision this week, stop. Present the matter to God in prayer. Use David’s posture: “Lord, shall I pursue? What is Your will in this situation?”

Case WritingWrite a letter to God detailing your situation. Be honest, be specific. End with: “I present this to You, and I choose to dwell in Your counsel.”

PROPHETIC PRAYER:

Father, I come into Your presence not only to sit but to speak with You. I bring my case before Your throne. I refuse to act without Your counsel. As I dwell in You, let Your word guide my steps. Let Your presence be my place of clarity and my assurance of victory. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

MEMORY VERSES:

Psalm 91:1 – “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Isaiah 43:26 – “Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence.”
