Hey Beautiful Soul
Take a PAUSE and PRAISE the LORD.
HALLELUJAH!

He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Ps 121:3 NKJV

REFLECTION:
There are satellites watching the whole earth 24/7. Security measures have been heightened in different forms. In this era, there are surveillance or security cameras positioned at vantage points. Even though they can be positioned almost everywhere, they still fail. There are records of crime and security failures. These devices need maintenance and a system for operation. In spite of these measures, there are high officials who are under strict supervision that have been attacked and harmed.
In our homes, we have protective and strict parents doing their best to keep their children safe. We have people guarding their homes with dogs and security agents. We do everything we can to keep our homes and assets safe. Yet, robbery happens and stubborn children find a way to outsmart their parents.

My mum always says that she would try what she can to give us a better life but she has dedicated us unto God. Even though she loves us dearly, she is limited in capacity. She can’t be with us everywhere. She will continue to do what is humanly possible and leave the rest to God. This is indeed very profound.
My mum always waits up late for us to get home safe and she is often the first to wake up to make sure we had everything we need for the day. Eventually, she sleeps off. On the days she doesn’t want to, nature demands for it.
The people who love us dearly cannot be there for us all the time. Not because they don’t love us, but because, they are simply human beings. They are not immortal. Maybe someday they will be but as at now they are not super humans. As long as we are breathing and have blood running through our veins that can stop at anytime; it tells us that we are limited. We aren’t perfect, we have feelings and we are different from one another.

Our text makes us understand that God is not limited in anyway or by anything. I believe He always has a solution and a way out of everything. One translation (TPT), says that He does not ignore us. In fact He can’t and so, He will not. He hasn’t and He will never do! Imagine how blessed we are to have a Father who is always on our watch. How amazing! Day and night, night and day, He has our affairs as a priority. He covers us with His love and shields us from harm. He has our best interests at heart. He knows what’s perfect for us.

I am of the view that for us to be able to practice Intentional Thanksgiving effectively, we need to learn to let go of hurt and pain. Sometimes we get disappointed thinking our choices that were not granted were the best. We experience unmet expectations and denials from people we love and trust. Through it all, we need to realize that life happens. The things that happen can only make us bitter or better. It’s our choice to let go to be able to see the brighter side. Intentional Thanksgiving helps us to see and appreciate life quite differently. However, everything God does is good because He is good in nature and does not have an intention to harm us in any way. He feels sad when we are sad. He knows exactly how we feel. I personally think that He actually feels it the same way or even worse than we do because we are His body. Just as a pain in the toe can give us a headache, our traumatic experiences can’t be ignored by Him either.

We try to seek solutions from people who are limited in capacity. Oftentimes, this leaves us insecure, ignored, rejected and broken. On the contrary, God is the only keeper of our souls. He’s the only one who can make us whole and safe. If our feet is that important to Him, how much more our souls? The Bible equates the covering of our feet to our peace. God orders our steps because it brings us peace. And that’s how important we are to Him. He’s our keeper and He will forever keep us till the end of time.

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Are there some choices you made in this year that didn’t happen as expected?
Are there some happenstances that you didn’t see coming?
Are you feeling insecure, afraid, anxious, ignored, rejected or hurt by something or a loved one?
Have you personally failed or disappointed anyone in anyway?

Try to answer these questions if you can.

All through the day, keep reminding yourself that you are human. Likewise, every other human being or any system created by humanity is limited in capacity. God is unlimited and it is His delight to make sure that you are safe, sound and happy.
Forgive yourself and forgive those who you need to forgive because they are limited in capacity and everyone deserves grace just like you do.
Acknowledge God for you have been KEPT by the power of God. Hallelujah.

INTENTIONAL THANKSGIVING :
Kept by the power of God.
I am Kept by the power of God.
Day by Day, Night by Night, Day and Night, Night and Day.
Come what may;
I am Kept by the power of God.
Thank you O keeper of my Soul.
Hallelujah!
