Deep Issues

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Psalms 61:1-2 NKJV).

The word “overwhelm” means to be buried beneath a huge mass of something. Through all the changing scenes of life, things can get really overwhelming.

Growth requires us to be in a constant state of evolving and showing up differently because the lessons that served us very well in one season can be quite detrimental in another.

One challenge that affects us especially as believers is that we tend to limit the ways of God due to how He showed up for us in the past season. But every season and dimension requires a different strategy. God is not limited in capacity. He’s unlimited and omnipotent. This means there are several ways that he could show up for us. Sometimes, we hear from God, he tells us what to do but we get overwhelmed by the communications we receive within us because we are limited in capacity as humans. So we need to learn to leave the how to God.

Gracefully, we can ask our Father in heaven and He will answer us.

It’s okay not to be okay. In our vulnerability we find strength.
On our own we can not make it but with Christ all things are possible.
I may not know what are going through but I know that God answers prayers.
