Your Way Is The True Way

FOCAL VERSE

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

Psalms 84:11 NKJV

DEEP REFLECTION

The theme verse for this week’s walk with God does present a great reminder on God’s provision and care for us. Being our Sun, shield, buckler etc., He gives us favor and honor. He also blesses those who walk with Him. Only those who walk with God will enjoy of such benefits. No human walks with any mortal or being without trust. Thus, it is safe we ask ourselves the “Do I Trust God?” query.

More, the “Am I with God (trust) or on a path away from Him?” question will help examine your own walk today. Don’t forget that..

Trust is a journey.

Trust is an act of surrender.

Trust is a response.

Trust is position of dependence.

Trust is a firm assurance.

Trust is giving up control.

Trust is a release of power. (Psalm 84:11).

Now, the Lord God is a sun — To enlighten, quicken, direct, and comfort all his people; whereas they that live without God in the world walk in darkness and know not whither they go, as is said John 12:35;

And shield — To defend them from all their enemies, and from those dreadful and destructive miseries which attend all other humans. The Lord will give grace — His favour and friendship, which are better than life and all the blessed fruits thereof, especially the influences, gifts, and graces of His Spirit; and glory — Not the vain glory and splendour of this world.

Further, from the above break down, one can see how opening up to God or trusting HIM will be a solid plus. You tend to benefit in the positive when you commit your affairs into the only immortal who runs operations diligently.

We all fancy having the good things of this world. This isn’t entirely bad however, not all good things of the present world align with God’s way. From fraudulent moves to questionable and inhumane treatments all in the name of intellectualism, we risk wondering away from the path of God. It is therefore a must to constantly keep on evaluating our various desires and needs with God’s standards. Asking ourselves the “will this act/move please God?” — brings in a safety guard to keep us all in check with God’s way.

One may wonder what God’s approved way is?

It is simply walking upright by following the word HE gave us via the Bible. Walking uprightly can be simplified into worshipping and serving God sincerely in thoughts and deeds. Just as King David stipulated in the Psalms, I paraphrase “ Your word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sin against thee”. For us to be upright, we need a constant feed on the word of God. This is what will fuel our actions, motives and aid us navigate the present era.

To end, it is worth noting that God will never withhold any good thing we deserve from us. How can someone who sacrificed His only Son to restore us back to Himself deny you and I an excellent and worthy opportunity?? How?? God sees beyond human understanding and knows what we need at a particular time frame. Fret not, God will never fail nor disappoint anyone who trusts in HIM uprightly. Never has God disappointed anyone who walked in His way and I’m here to say, “you won’t be the first to be disappointed”. Cheer up! Keep up the journey walks, be obedient and do His will. The price will always be worth it.
