TRUSTING ONLY THEE

DEEP REFLECTION
Almost every human on the face of the unique planet Earth knows the word “Trust”. Whiles some see it as an okay trait, others treasure it. Break their trust and all ties will be cut off. More, our daily engagements or necessities we employ all centre around trust. Every family has a peculiar brand product it trusts. These brands are often passed on to generations due to its potencies of solving an issue encountered. Thus it becomes a status quo.
Now, we as Christians are privileged to enjoy the redemption power in the blood of Christ Jesus. However, for one to fully bask in this awesome redemption gift, faith is required. Here, belief and trust are the subsets of faith. Per our scripture today “Colossians 2:3”, the Apostle Paul resounded a perspective many a Christians haven’t paid an attention to. Before getting deeper, let’s take a look at our present world and its intelligent systems.
In today’s world, we engage the services of think-tanks, computers and AI’s etc. to solve our understanding deficit per issues happening around us. We thus, trust and rely on the findings of the above houses to either correct or negate our livelihoods. Again, we employ them to tackle problems we are either facing, faced or will face in the near future. If we humans believe and trust in the projections of machines and other humans, why can’t we do same when it comes to our redeemer?? Why can’t we do same when it comes to our God who is all knowing?? Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way bastardising the usefulness of these great human innovations. They come in handy and thus will root everyone get adequate understanding about its operations.
Further, why do we find it easy to believe and trust in humans and its mind blowing innovations but struggle to do same for the one who created them?? Many of us have been programmed to believe our God is solely centred on the spiritual which isn’t true. From Colossians 2:3, it was made clear in our God is hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge. This means HE is the pristine source of wisdom and knowledge. Also, it points us to the fact that nothing happening to us now can outsmart HIM. HE has the remedy to everything we will ever ask or need because HE is the embodiment of wisdom and knowledge, nothing takes HIM by surprise.
We have a God who is all knowing, isn’t bound by time, heals the deadliest of diseases/malfunctions and turns around the lives of human for the excellent. All we need to enjoy of HIS traits is trust and belief. All we need is to accept Christ Jesus as our Saviour.
Do remember, our God isn’t short sighted or short handed as we humans and science are. Only God can do what no human can do. There are loads of testimonies out there concerning how HE healed folks from cancers, HIV/AIDS, rewired human haemoglobin genotypes, raised the dead, turned the life’s of nobodies into people of repute and many more. I want you to know nothing happening in your life now takes HIM by surprise, just trust and believe in HIM. Talk to HIM concerning all facets of your life. HE gave us a wonderful love gift in Christ Jesus and cares for us more than we envision. Dust yourself and go speak with your maker.
SOUL PRAYER
Oh God, help me. Help me Trust solely in you. Give me the grace and strength to walk life your way. Secure me with your wisdom and knowledge, Amen.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE
Be open with God concerning all you need and desire. Talk to HIM about all facets of your life. Refuse to hide anything from HIM. Spend time with the word and don’t forsake the pursuit of good sources of wisdom.
