A PARTNERSHIP TRUST

FOCAL VERSE

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

John 14:16-17 NIV

DEEP REFLECTION

The present world thrives on partnerships in diverse forms. From the telecommunications industry to that of the daily necessities, we see wonderful pacts formed. These pacts are held together by trust. This trust drives value for individuals and teams. Behaviourists and social scientists for decades now have been trying to discern the unique understanding of what trust is, how it works, and how to build it.

Now, one may wonder why these personnel are focusing on Trust? In simple explanation, trust builds relationships, systems and empires etc. As stated in today’s preamble, trust is everything in today’s world. Shun it and go crashing down.

From the corporate industry, improving trust levels in an organization is more valuable than it has ever been because of its gross positive effects on productivity and growth. Research has linked higher trust levels to performance, profitability, and customer attraction and retention etc.

Many factors of success are out of our control often times. The ability to build strong trust-based relationships is however within our control. It is one of the primary factors that differentiate between merely good and exceptional leaders.

The ability to build trust is a skill that we can develop. A skill which can be built. Just as trust in an organisation help fosters productivity and growth, so as trust in the Holy Spirit fosters productivity and rapid growth in the inner man. Here, this trust forms a partnership that often transcends generations.

From today’s opening scripture, one sees a promise assurance from Christ Jesus to us. He knew in such a perilous world, there will be an urgent need for a trusted advocate to help us navigate life.

Now, Humans are limited beings, making their abilities to help limited as well. To receive the Holy Spirit, is to receive the divine Helper—a permanent, indwelling advocate, encourager, guide, and support etc. —to live and move within our hearts in even the loneliest of times.

The Helper is unlimited in presence and resource. The Helper is here. When you accept Christ Jesus as your saviour, you open the door to the HolySpirit to come steer the affairs of your life,. The Spirit in you; guides your heart and mind to truth. Convicting you of areas in your life which you are way off the mark and missing his heart for you. Also, He reveals your new name as a child of God and teaches you how to go about your life in a worthy perspective in line with the word of God. Notwithstanding the how to partner with him in the awakening of other hearts to wholeness and healing effect.

Moving on, we are the people in whom he dwells and the mystery of the gospel is Christ in us, “the hope of glory” (Col. 1:26-27). “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:18-19). The Holy Spirit helps us in our times of need; we are never, ever alone. This pact is one every believer needs to sustain him/herself here on earth. Just as Corporate firms and other organisations employ, we have to do same when it comes to our walk with Christ Jesus. We need the HolySpirit to be effective people of influence, live in line with the ways of Christ Jesus and be great children here.

SOUL PRAYER

Jesus, I receive the Holy Spirit. I have known times and places where I felt left alone; and there you were, closer to me than anyone ever could be. Come, Holy Spirit, in worship I draw near to you and become aware of your presence; I put my trust in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
