STEPPING OUT IN FAITH

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 12:1-9

FOCAL VERSE:

“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” – Genesis‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬

DEEP REFLECTION:

Abraham was comfortable in Haran, surrounded by family and familiarity. But God had a greater plan. He called Abraham to leave everything behind and follow Him into the unknown—with only a promise as his guide.

Faith requires movement. Sometimes, God asks us to step out before we see the full picture. It might be a career change, a ministry calling, or a new level of spiritual growth. Whatever it is, trusting God means believing that He will lead, provide, and fulfill His promises as we go.

The question is: Are we willing to leave our comfort zones for the sake of God’s calling? Just as Abraham stepped out, we, too, must take steps of faith—trusting that God is leading us toward something greater.

PRAYER POINTS:

Seek strength to step out in faith, leaving behind what hinders your spiritual growth.

Pray for trust in God’s promises, even when the path is unclear.

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:

Spend 15 minutes in stillness, listening for God’s direction. Ask for a heart that follows His leading.

List three promises of God that you are holding onto.
