THE GOD WHO SEES

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 16
FOCAL VERSE:
“She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”” – Genesis 16:13 NIV
DEEP REFLECTION:
In Genesis 16, Hagar encounters God in the wilderness, and He reveals Himself as the God who sees her. In her pain and impatience, she had tried to take control, but her actions led to conflict and heartache. This reminds us that impatience can often bring complications when we rush ahead of God’s plan.
However, the beauty of this story is in God’s response. He didn’t condemn Hagar but met her where she was. He saw her in her struggle and offered her comfort and direction. No matter how lost we feel, God sees us, understands our pain, and is with us every step of the way.
Today, reflect on the areas where impatience has led you to act. Take comfort in knowing that God sees you and is always with you, even when you feel unseen.
PRAYER POINTS:
Seek patience and trust in God’s timing.
Pray for those who feel unseen and forgotten.
Thank God for being the One who sees you.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Spend time in nature, observing and reflecting on God’s creation.
Take time today to encourage someone who may feel invisible.
