THE COVENANT OF TRANSFORMATION

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 17
FOCAL VERSE:
“This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised.” – Genesis 17:10 NIV
DEEP REFLECTION:
In Genesis 17, God establishes circumcision as a sign of His covenant—a physical act representing a deeper spiritual truth. It was not just about the body but about the heart, a call to be set apart for Him. True commitment to God requires more than just outward signs; it demands an inward transformation.
Alongside this covenant, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham and Sarai’s to Sarah, marking a shift in their identity and purpose. This reminds us that walking with God often requires letting go of the old to embrace the new.
Today, take a moment to reflect: What is God calling you to surrender? What old habits, mindsets, or identities need to be left behind so you can fully step into His covenant? Transformation begins with a heart fully committed to Him.
PRAYER POINTS:
Ask God to reveal areas of your heart needing transformation.
Pray for a heart fully surrendered to God.
Ask for a deeper consecration.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Identify one habit or mindset that needs to be ‘cut off’ for your spiritual growth.
Write down the new name or identity God is calling you into.
