THE POWER OF OBEDIENCE

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 22:1-14
FOCAL VERSE:
““Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.””- Genesis 22:12 NIV
DEEP REFLECTION:
Abraham’s faith was tested in a profound way when God asked him to sacrifice his son, Isaac. Without hesitation, Abraham prepared to obey. His obedience wasn’t easy, but it was complete. He trusted that God’s plan was greater than his understanding.
Obedience to God often requires stepping out of our comfort zones, especially when we don’t fully understand the why. Yet, obedience is the pathway to God’s provision and His greater purposes for our lives.
PRAYER POINTS:
Ask God for the courage to obey, even when the path is unclear.
Pray for strength to trust God’s provision in moments of obedience.
Thank God for His faithfulness and provision as we step out in obedience.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Identify one area where God is calling you to obedience. Take a step of faith today, even if it feels uncomfortable.
Reflect on one way God has provided for you in the past, and trust that He will continue to provide as you obey Him.
