THE SECRET PLACE

Hey Beautiful Soul, Come Up Higher!

FOCAL VERSE:

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” – Psalm‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬ ‭ESV‬

DEEP REFLECTION (EXHORTATION):

God is always calling us closer. But His invitation doesn’t always come through a loud voice or flashing signs. Often, it is a quiet pull into stillness and into the secret place.

In the secret place, there are no crowds, no performance, and no pressure. Just presence. Here, Divine Intimacy is not a concept but a lived experience. The higher life is not always loud or public. Sometimes, the climb upward begins with a decision to go inward.

Psalm 91 verse 1 reminds us that the secret place is not a one-time visit. It is a dwelling. It is where identity is reaffirmed, fears lose their grip, and clarity is restored. Many want God’s power, but few pursue His presence. Yet it is presence that changes us most deeply.

If you truly want to come up higher this month, start by going deeper. Deeper into quiet. Deeper into listening. Deeper into trust.

Because in the secret place, He waits for you.

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:

Choose a consistent time each day, either in the morning or at night, to sit with God in stillness for at least 15 minutes.

Leave your phone aside. Do not play worship music. Just be present with your journal and His presence.

Begin by asking,Lord, what do You want to say to me today?”

Wait quietly. Breathe deeply. Listen with your heart. Then write down what you sense.

At the end of the week, go back and read through your journal entries. Write a personal reflection titled, “What I Discovered in the Secret Place.” Be honest. Let it be raw, even if it feels simple or small.

SOUL PRAYER:

Father, draw me into the secret place. Quiet every voice that competes with Yours. Let me be still enough to hear You. In Your presence, heal me, renew me, and ground me. I choose depth over noise. I choose You.

READING PLAN:

Monday: Psalm 91:1-2 – Write down what the “secret place” means to you. Where is yours?

Tuesday: Matthew 6:6 – Evaluate your personal prayer space. Is it sacred or shared? Create or renew it.

Wednesday: Luke 5:16 – Jesus often withdrew to pray. What habit can you build to do the same? Write it down.

Thursday: Isaiah 30:15 – “In quietness and trust…” Reflect: what’s been loud in your life lately? Surrender it.

Friday: Revelation 4:1 – Ask God: What does “Come Up Higher” mean for me this season? Write your answer as a prayer.

This a is a GROWcode_ initiative in partnership with Jesus Christ. Stay connected to grow. Much love.
