I HAVE JOY!

Hey Beautiful Soul
Take a PAUSE and PRAISE the LORD.
HALLELUJAH!

The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
Psalms 121:6 NLT

REFLECTION:
Constantly the events of life seem to be after our joy and peace. As soon as we receive good news; it is as though something bad needs to follow up. Just when you receive a raise in salary, the bills increase. Just when you receive an admission letter to your dream school, you receive news of the afflictions of a beloved. All these occurrences can hinder the fullness of joy.

The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. He comes to attack our joy which disturbs our peace. Then, it in turn affects our entire life. His plan has never been to take away the blessings we have but to take that one thing that makes us powerful than He is; our faith in the COVENANT KEEPING GOD.

Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. The abundant life is the enemy’s threat. He will do everything possible to make sure that we don’t enjoy the abundance because he does not and will never have it. On the flip side, our Father has everything in place to make sure this becomes our daily reality.

He said that the sun will not smite us by day or the moon by night. He will not allow the events of life to harm us. He knows the enemy will be after us. He knows life will happen. On our glory days, our joy can attract attacks and in the days of adversity, our peace can be lost. However, our Lord is our protection, our support, our shield and defense.

Indeed, life is a bundle of joy and blessedness. Nevertheless, it is only on the wheels of joy that we are able to unpack the blessedness of the low moments. Our joy and peace intimidate the enemy hence, he sends afflictions. God’s vow is to protect us from harm in our low and high moments. However, the Bible encourages us to pray when we are afflicted and to pray without ceasing. It urges us to give thanks in all things because we are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy. As simple as it may seem, it fuels our joy and safeguards our peace. Intentional Thanksgiving helps us to keep going inspite of it all. It is our way of saying to the devil that he’s trying to get our attention but we are focused on what our God is doing with us. It’s a way to declare to the enemy that he’s fighting a lost battle. It affirms our trust in the COVENANT KEEPING GOD.

INTENTIONAL EXERCISE :
What has been trying to snatch your joy and peace?
What do you do when you are down?
Can you testify about the times that God protected or restored your joy and peace?

Personally when I’m emotional, it’s hard for me to utter words. Before, I used to listen to my internal voices a lot because I’m quite in tune with my senses. I still do but this time around I’ve learnt and I’m learning to listen to the voice of God in the process. The voice of God within us gets stronger when we learn to stay in tune with our spirit realm. I have learnt that Intentionally Thanksgiving requires the ability to stay in tune with the spirit. Life is very spiritual. As believers, we are encouraged to live spirit filled lives. Our Spirit man has the ability to express thanks in the way it should but it can be done effectively when we are in tune with it.

All through the day, allow your spirit to praise and thank God. Quicken your spirit with worship/praise music together with the expressions of your spirit. You can speak in tongues if you can. I personally believe that tongues speaking is the expressions (groanings and mutterings) of the inner man. Who wouldn’t like to talk to God directly? Gracefully, He who speaks in tongues speaks to God directly. May you have a divine experience. Hallelujah.

INTENTIONAL THANKSGIVING :
O Covenant Keeping God.
My protector!
My defense!
Through it all you have never left me.
You are my strength.
You are my hope.
You are my joy.
You are my peace.
I love you Lord.
Thank you for all you do.
I give you all the glory!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
