WHEN FEAR SPEAKS, LET FAITH ANSWER

SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 12:10-20
FOCAL VERSE:
“Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.”- Genesis 12:13 NIV
DEEP REFLECTION:
Abraham, despite being chosen by God, allowed fear to dictate his actions when he arrived in Egypt. In a moment of uncertainty, he convinced Sarah to lie about their relationship, fearing for his life. This decision shows how fear can distort our trust in God and lead us to make choices that compromise our values.
How often do we act out of fear rather than faith? Whether it’s fear of failure, fear of loss, or fear of the unknown, it can push us to compromise our integrity. Yet, despite Abraham’s mistake, God remained faithful, stepping in to protect Sarah and preserve His promise. This reminds us that God’s grace is not dependent on our perfection but on His unwavering commitment to us.
PRAYER POINTS:
Confess areas where fear has led you astray; ask for a heart aligned with truth.
Pray for wisdom in times of fear.
Seek God’s help to remain truthful.
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Reflect on a moment of fear and how you responded. How would you act differently?
Journal about a fear you need to surrender to God.
