GOD WANTS YOU TO PROSPER!
FOCAL VERSE:
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
III John 1:2 NKJV
DEEP REFLECTION:
God is concerned about every aspect of our lives. He wants us to prosper much more than we desire because that is His perfect will for us. He created us to prosper and to enjoy everything He created for us.
There’s a version of anxiety that prevents us from trusting the promises of God. It is fueled by the need to be in control of our affairs as well as the desire to be self – sufficient. This version of anxiety can set us up to do life our way. It heightens our trust in people, systems, ourselves and other avenues we may be preview to rather than trusting God. It causes despair and desperation to make choices and take steps that lead us into destruction. It creates room for the enemy to take advantage of us or fall in his traps. Thus, we need to choose to rest in God’s promises and ways for us to conquer.
However, there’s also another version of anxiety that is a disorder. It is usually caused by past experiences and unpleasant memories. These events of the past can be triggered and sponsored by different and similar factors in the present.
This version of anxiety has the tendency of shutting you down. There are days that your nerves can simply take over. Your vocal cords can be raptured leaving you speechless or your mind can simply turn blank. Especially when there’s a need to do something different or when you experience newness in general. This doesn’t necessarily make you less spiritual or carnal. It doesn’t mean you don’t have faith in God or your love for God is growing cold. Actually, it reveals your humanity and the need for a level of help such as understanding, wisdom, training or a skill to navigate through because we all need help. Our growth requires a faith booster and a dose of grace to level up. Consider this also an invitation to engage your inner being to trust God. Though this is a dysfunction; it can be corrected by right perspectives and empowerment.
In as much as I believe in the power of prayer; I also advocate intentionality — being fully aware and responsible for our well-being on all levels because it helps us to pray right!
This awareness awakens and helps us to know exactly what we are being faced with and how to confront what has to be dealt with effectively through the enlightenment of God’s word and prayer.
For us to fully function at our best as believers; we need to prosper at all levels: Spirit, Soul & Body- 3 John 1:2
Nothing should limit the power of GOD at work is us in any aspect of our lives because God wants us to prosper in every area of our lives.
Sometimes, we need to win from the inside out. At other times, we need to take intentional steps to be able to materialize what’s already planted in us.
It is good to seek knowledge to understand what we are going through physically. However, that shouldn’t be our last resort. We should learn to prioritize seeking enlightenment and power from the Holy Spirit to overcome whatsoever weighs us down inherently.
Hey Beautiful Soul, anxiety can trap, limit and hold you down but God wants you to prosper. The power of God can liberate and set you free to be who God has called you to be — as you do exactly what He has called you to do in truth, grace and strength. Hallelujah!
SOUL PRAYER:
Dear Holy Spirit, help me to identify any hidden struggles within me. Grant me the knowledge and language to understand what I am experiencing. Help me to take the necessary steps needed to allow you to take over whatsoever challenge I am experiencing as I engage the word of the Lord to empower me to do and overcome. Above all things, help me to trust you to prosper in every area of my life. In Jesus name. Amen
INTENTIONAL EXERCISE:
Do something you love to do which enables you to be soul aware to ease you up. Also, willingly hand over any area of struggle to the Holy Spirit in total trust that — God wants you to prosper in that area.
